As the site is titled this is just one opinion, does it really matter if the author is male,
female, black, white, Asian, Caucasian or Latin?
This site was developed with the intention of sharing the opinions of one person that
might stimulate thought for others. Frankly, the hope was and is that it will be read by
those much younger than the author and stimulate them to possibly learn from
experiences, or a desire to research something that was written. If it directs a 100
people away from social media and to some research and thought, then the effort to
publish this blog will be satisfying.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
The author was born in 1947 in a small midwestern town of less than 10,000 people.
The author has lived in the Midwest, the Northeast, the South, and the Southeast parts
of the United States. The author was fortunate enough to be the first in their family to
attain both a bachelor’s and master’s degree, and their work before retirement took
them throughout the United States and to over 20 countries worldwide.
The author is married, and the couple have two children, and to be fair and honest
because of extensive work related travel the at home spouse was overloaded with more
than a fair share of dealing with all childhood development and issues. The couple
have been married for 55 years and have been fortunate to travel extensively together
during the second phase of work life and during retirement.
So why the One Opinion Blog? Like many of you who may read this I find that
spending too much time watching television and listening to “talking heads” spew their
opinions causes great frustration, often anger, sometimes agreement and many times
not. For this author one way to release that frustration is to write. Therefore, we developed this avenue for me to vent. All I ask is that you read the article and simply vote thumbs up or thumbs down.You will notice that there are several categories of articles. I have posted categories
focused on politics, sports, travel, and food. To be fair those on travel and food are less
opinions and based more on experience that I thought I might highlight from 77 years of
travel and eating.
